Yes. Kennel & Schmenger uses solvent-free adhesives in shoe production to professionally bond the various components of a shoe during the manufacturing process.

Yes. Since 2022, a photovoltaic system has been in operation on the roof of the Kennel & Schmenger factory in Pirmasens. The solar power generated there is used on site.

Kennel & Schmenger mainly uses leather as the upper material. The lining and insole are usually made of leather as well. The leathers selected for Kennel & Schmenger are finished in Italian tanneries. Which leather quality is used depends on the model, colour, desired feel and construction.

Whether a Kennel & Schmenger shoe suits narrow or wide feet depends on the model and the shape of your foot. Leather can adapt slightly to the foot through warmth and movement. Nevertheless, a shoe should be neither painfully tight nor noticeably too short when you buy it. How much the material gives depends on the type of leather, lining and construction; a lack of length cannot be compensated for by breaking the shoes in.

Selected Kennel & Schmenger models have a removable footbed and are suitable for your own insoles. You will find the corresponding information in the product details. Whether your insole fits the shoe in shape and volume is best checked during a fitting. Feel free to bring it with you to one of our Concept Stores.

White sneakers should be cleaned according to their individual materials. First remove loose dirt. For smooth leather, gentle cleaning with a soft, slightly damp cloth is suitable; suede is first brushed out dry. Textile parts, soles and embellishments may require different care. Test suitable cleaners on an inconspicuous area and let the shoes dry at room temperature.

The right size, care suited to the material, sufficient breaks between wears and dry storage that preserves the shape help to keep shoes in good condition for longer. How long a pair can actually be used depends on the model, the strain, care and individual wearing habits.

Price differences arise from factors such as the type of shoe, the materials used, the number and complexity of components, construction, finishes and production effort. An elaborate sneaker, a boot or a special leather surface may therefore be priced differently from a more minimalist model.

Your order is prepared for shipping at our headquarters in Pirmasens and sent with DHL. Shipping usually takes place on the next working day. Within Germany, delivery usually takes one to three working days; international shipments may take longer.

The Kennel & Schmenger online shop delivers to Germany and to selected other countries. Within Germany, standard shipping costs €4.95. Yes, within Germany Kennel & Schmenger also delivers to DHL Packstations. Please enter your personal PostNumber and the Packstation number in full. According to our shipping information, this delivery option is not available with the payment method "Pay by invoice". You can see the options available for your order at checkout.

Express shipping is currently not offered. As soon as your order has been shipped, you can track the delivery status using the DHL tracking number.

You can change saved addresses for future orders in your customer account. If an order that has already been placed is to be sent to a different address, please contact customer service immediately with your order number. Whether a change is still possible depends on the processing status.

Depending on the delivery country and order, invoice, PayPal, Klarna invoice or instalments, credit card and Apple Pay are available at checkout. For an invoice offered directly by Kennel & Schmenger, the amount is due within 14 days of the invoice date. For Klarna payments, the deadlines stated in the Klarna payment information apply. When making a bank transfer, use the payment reference stated on your invoice so that the payment can be allocated to your order. If you used an incorrect payment reference or received a reminder despite having paid, check the recipient, amount and payment date. Fill in the return form and pack the items carefully, ideally in the original shoe box and shipping carton. Attach the return label clearly visible and remove or cover the old shipping label. Kennel & Schmenger offers a returns service with a return period of 14 days. In addition, consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal: you can generally withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back. For your withdrawal, you can use the "Online withdrawal" section, for example. Details can be found in the cancellation policy.

A direct exchange is currently not possible. Please return the item that does not fit and reorder the desired size or model. This way you can see immediately whether the item is currently available.

Try shoes on on a soft, clean surface and avoid signs of wear as long as you have not yet decided. Return the pair complete and well protected, ideally in the original shoe box. Your statutory right of withdrawal does not depend on whether the original packaging is still available. If the shoes have been used beyond what is necessary for trying them on, compensation for loss of value may be charged.

After your return has been received and checked, Kennel & Schmenger will issue the refund to the original payment method. Subsequent processing by the payment provider may take up to three working days. In the case of a statutory withdrawal, the refund will be made no later than 14 days after receipt of your notice of withdrawal; it may be withheld until we have received the goods or your proof of shipment.

In the event of a complete statutory withdrawal, you will be refunded the cost of the cheapest standard delivery offered. The voluntary returns service is subject to the conditions stated there: the return label provided is free of charge, but the original delivery costs are not refunded. In the case of a statutory withdrawal, however, the current cancellation policy stipulates that you bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
